Indian Railways passengers got another ticket to join the nation's journey to a digital future. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has tied up with hotel rooms booking startup Oravel Stays Pvt., which operates the OYO Rooms network, offering rail travellers the option of real-time booking.

OYO Rooms, a startup backed by SoftBank Group, Greenoaks Capital, Sequoia Capital and Lightspeed India, will run the IRCTC hotel-booking page, offering its inventory, with the "promise of standardized amenities" to rail passengers, IRCTC said in a press release on Thursday.
