Lamborghini Veneno Roadster
$4.5 million
Only a fortunate few—nine, to be exact—will ever wrap their hands around the leather steering wheel of the 2014 Veneno Roadster, Lamborghini’s ultimate hand-built supercar. Spanish for ‘venom’, the Veneno was designed as a racing prototype but observes just enough niceties (including an open-air cockpit) to be declared street legal. Powered by a 6.5-litre V12 engine, the car will produce 750 hp and rocket you to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds, with a blow-your-ears-back top speed of 220 mph.

KEF blade Speakers

$30,000 per pair
The form of KEF’s gorgeous Blade speakers was inspired by sculptor Constantin Brancusi’s ‘Bird in Space’ but also dictated by acoustics. The curved surfaces and unique configuration make the speaker ideal for pinpoint stereo imaging and a sound balance that’s the same throughout the listening area.

McIntosh’s MT5 turntable

Does ‘Sweet Virginia’ sound great rolling through your headphones? You ain’t heard nothin’ yet. McIntosh’s MT5 turntable lifts you to a transcendent realm by damping vibrations. The acoustically inert, softly glowing platter floats on magnetic bearings to reduce resonances and can also be finetuned to cope with off-speed records.

Ilott’s Vintage Eye

$1,875–$2,225
Imagine using your current digital camera 30 years from now. Ilott has another suggestion: Take pictures with their lovingly restored, vintage, manual 35 mm rangefinder cameras. With each recovered camera, the company replaces tension springs, repairing and cleaning dozens of cogs. They also replace cracked leather shells with durable wood veneers tailored to each camera and then turn it over to a new owner.
