Arjun kalyanpur and Sunita Maheshwari, co-founders of Bangalore-based telemedicine company Teleradiology Solutions, are true pioneers. A decade ago, they entered a nascent industry and built workflow systems from scratch. In just a few years (by 2010), they started selling the software which they’d created for themselves, and helped deliver diagnostics for CT scans and MRIs in just 30 minutes, 24x7.
The company is now transforming itself from a service provider to an industry enabler. Its cloud-based teleradiology workflow software RadSpa has been in the market for a little over two years with 60 installations globally. They claim a 20 percent increase in the productivity of radiologists.
The software works by connecting one diagnostic team in a central location to a number of clinics. The enterprise version costs a one-time fee of $200,000 while the cloud-based model is $1 per scan.
But lack of sales and marketing resources can still pose a challenge for the duo.
