Gear Up for Mahindra Blues
The one-stop music event for all blues fans is in its third year and promises to be bigger and better
Prepare for a weekend of soulful music as the third edition of the Blues Festival is all set to bring to Mumbai some of the best names in the genre. This year’s line-up includes Robert Randolph and The Family Band, Jimmie Vaughan & The Tilt-a-Whirl Band (featuring Lou Ann Barton, Popa Chubby), Walter Trout & The Radicals, Dana Fuchs Band, Big Bang Blues and Soulmate.
And if you are looking for some tip from the greats, queue up for the hour-long workshop by Michael Messer. Get to learn the history of the slide guitar and the basics of playing Mississippi Delta and Chicago-style Blues slide guitars from one of the world’s leading Blues slide guitarists and Blues innovators.
Also, do not miss Gibson through the Lens, a photo exhibition curated by Dave Brolan. It will feature 30 of the world’s most respected music photographers who captured legends with their Gibson Guitars.
