Paper to Wood
Dutch designer Mieke Meijer, in collaboration with design label Vij5, has created Newspaper Wood from discarded newspapers. Meijer glued together individual papers and rolled them tightly in a machine. The ‘wood’ imitates actual logs and can be drilled, cut and milled to planks. It has been used to make furniture prototypes exhibited in Milan this year.

Out of the Box
The Terra II bookshelf speakers follow an out-of-the-box shape and are supposed to be used in a 5.1 set-up along with the mighty Subterranean subwoofer from EBTB. Its strong mid-range and effervescent high frequency response lends pleasant musicality to the set-up. In addition, it boasts of its unique looks and innovative technical features.
