The three new creations of the Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel—the 8 Days Power Reserve Acciaio, the 8 Days Power Reserve Titanio, and the Left-Handed 8 Days Acciaio—are unique, and maintain the Panerai identity. The Acciaio uses the new P.5002 hand-wound calibre, has a stainless steel case and a classic black sandwich dial with the small seconds counter at 9 o’clock. The Titanio has the same functions and design as the steel version, but the case and the device for protecting the winding crown are made of titanium. The left-handed Acciaio has a steel case, black sandwich dial, and a strap of the same colour. Its most distinctive characteristic is the positioning of the winding crown, and its related protecting device at 9 o’clock.

Tissot’s Chrono XL Classic Virat Kohli Special Edition features the brand ambassador’s navy blue logo engraved on its white silk-printed caseback and a navy blue leather strap. The stopwatch number 20 is changed by 18, representing Kohli’s jersey number. This piece is limited to 3018, indicating the fact that he turns 30 in 2018. The watch has a quartz chronograph movement. Encased in a 45-mm stainless steel case, it is water resistant up to a pressure of 100 metres.

Rolex has introduced the gem-set version of the Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona, originally created in 1963. On this new 18 carat Everose gold version, the bezel is set with a gradation of sapphires in rainbow hues. The case is adorned with 56 brilliant-cut diamonds set into the lugs and crown guard, and the dial features 11 baguette-cut sapphire hour markers. Like all Rolex watches, the new Cosmograph Daytona carries the Superlative Chronometer certification.

The new Reverso Tribute Tourbillon Duoface from Jaeger-LeCoultre is a highly anticipated version of the Reverso Tribute, and marks the watchmaker’s 185th anniversary. The watch offers two-time zones on two separate dials, which is synced with the concept of reversibility. With two distinct but inseparable faces, the Reverso Tribute possesses the ideal design to house this complication. The blue sunrayed and silvered grained dials are housed in platinum cases that are water resistant up to 30 metres.

Taking the mastery of sapphire crystal—the hardest and most durable material after diamond—to the next level, Hublot Big Bang Sapphire Tourbillon is completely transparent, including the case, dial and strap; its crystalline connections disappear to reveal the skeleton mechanics of the tourbillon, for which the cage is held in place by a strip cut from sapphire. The 45-mm watch has a case, bezel, and dial made of sapphire crystal, and is water resistant up to 30 metres.
