#Budget2010 : Pranab Gets Serious on Fiscal Discipline

The finance commission's road-map pegs fiscal deficit in 2011 at 5.7 per cent, in 2012 at 4.8 per cent and 2013 at 4.2 per cent. Pranab Mukherjee seems to be headed towards tight fiscal policy as he has pegged the expected fiscal deficit at 5.5 per cent for 2011, 4.8 per cent for 2012 anad 4.1 per cent for 2013.
