#Budget2010 : Nandan Nilekani’s Role in Govt Expands

Government spending on IT has been going up. A lot of projects are in various stages of delivery. However there are often delays in projects. TCS - Passport project has been delayed many times. Hopefully with Nandan heading a tech advisory project - it would increase the government spending on IT, as well as put in processes for better vendor selection and create processes for lesser delays. Make more effective and efficient use of technology. It also shows that government is happy with the work he has done on UID so far.
