An aerial view of Srinagar shows J&K’s summer capital submerged in what is being dubbed the state’s worst flood in 60 years. Over 200 people have been killed and thousands displaced as swirling waters of the Jhelum engulfed various localities of the city. At least 84 IAF and Army Aviation Corps aircraft and helicopters have been pressed into service to airlift marooned residents of flood-hit areas.
