A Safe and Holistic Approach

‘Inspired design for people’, is the core philosophy of Square Consultancy Services, an award-winning multidisciplinary architectural design consultancy co-founded by Ranit Maiti and Subhrajit G. Mitra in 2008.

They prioritize the needs and well-being of people in the design process, focusing on creating spaces that are comfortable, accessible, and functional and are closely tied to the local context, taking into consideration the cultural, historical, and physical elements of a specific site. They follow a S.A.F.E. (Structure, Aesthetics, Function, Economy) approach to every design. This offers a unique perspective on the design process and helps to guide the creation of spaces that are functional, beautiful, and sustainable.

Going forward they would like to extend their holistic approach to urban design problems to create meaningful spaces for communities at the city scale. They hope to combine machine learning and human empathy in future and create a new design language for the country.
