Folded Lamp
This Art Lamp from the Italian furniture company Horm has been designed by Mario Bellini and Steven Holl. The lamps are made of a laser-etched 2 mm slab of wood, which is folded in an origami-like fashion through a complex technology patented by Horm.  The LED light shines through the holes when the lamp is switched on, creating a play of light and shadow. The ceiling lamps in the collection can be mounted with steel plates and adjustable steel wires.

Light and Salty
Would you like some salt with your lamp? You could get some, with designer Daniel MacDonald’s ‘shio’ lights. Inspired by the Yellowstone National Park in the US, he uses the physics behind mineral formations around hot springs to ‘grow’ the lamp’s skin. Salt water flows over a translucent plastic and fabric skeleton, forming crystals that attach to each other.
